Our Process
How we transform your space
Our refinishing process involves 20-40 hours of prep work on a typical kitchen. We clean and sand thoroughly, prior to any paint application. The final result will only be as good as the prep work in the beginning.
Our step by step process
1 | Teardown
We label, remove and transport the doors and drawers (or drawer fronts) to the workshop for cleaning and sanding.
2 | Preparation
The floor, countertops, and appliances are covered for protection. The cabinet boxes will be thoroughly cleaned with degreaser, rinsed, and sanded. Afterward, all cabinet boxes are taped off to prepare for spraying.
3 | Spraying
We secure the kitchen and set up a spray booth. The cabinet boxes will be primed, sanded, and coated. Once the boxes are finished, we will tear down, so your kitchen is once again functional.
4 | Doors & Drawers
The doors and drawers will be prepped, sanded, primed, and coated in our workshop. We always sand between primer coats to ensure the smoothest finish, but the final number of coats may vary depending on the quality of doors and grain type.
5 | Installation
We will carefully pack up all the doors and drawers (or drawer fronts) in foam pouches to transport them to the customer’s home. We unload, install, and level all the doors and drawers. At this time, we will complete final touchups if necessary.
